NFL's JJ Watt just fired Chipotle on Twitter

JJ Watt has a question for Chipotle: where's the beef?

In a frustrated tweet today, the gigantic defensive end for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals told the Mexican Food Chain, "The burritos are getting smaller and smaller. It's high time to open the dialogue about it. We want to get the big burritos back."

Watt included a photo of a Chipotle burrito dwarfed by his huge hands - a barely satisfying meal for a man who is 6'8 and 288 pounds.

In response to Watt, a miffed tweeter even came up with a ruler to prove the point.

The Pro Bowl player's complaint was not new. Business Insider revealed last year that customers across the country were expressing their annoyance on social media that Chipotle was skimping on their burritos.

At the time, Chipotle attributed the problem to custom orders, not serving size.

"Chipotle customers have the ability to completely customize their meal at restaurants by vocalizing their desired portions, or digitally selecting extra, light, regular, or apart when choosing from the real ingredients list," Laurie, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Schalow said in a statement. "We know of no shortages in the supply chain, and Chipotle is getting lots of accolades for the incredible value its entrees deliver with responsibly sourced ingredients chopped or grilled fresh every day."

But that argument hasn't stopped customers from eating chipotle for what they perceive to be their shrinking tortilla.

At press time, Watt's tweet had over 58,000 likes, with many sending in photos of their burrito's small size.

Many hope that a big star like JJ Watt joining the cause will bring back the plus-size burrito. But Chipotle has yet to respond.
