If you're unhappy with Threads but still love scrolling on Instagram, there's good news for you: you'll soon be able to delete the first account without losing the second .

Adam Mosseri, the boss of Instagram, announced this week on (of course) Threads that an update of the application would allow users - including some signed up after the initial boom of the new app but did not become regular users — only to be able to finally and permanently log out of Threads.

When Meta introduced Threads in July , intended to be a rival to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, it quickly became the most downloaded application in history.

But the momentum did not hold. Users complained that the platform had fewer features than some of the other new platforms competing to become the new Twitter. It lacked subject tags, direct messaging, and any way to access content from a desktop computer. (Threads has since introduced a web version.)
