Rock band Kiss sells its brand and songs for $300 million

Hard rock band Kiss has sold its song catalog to a Swedish music investor for a sum estimated at more than $300 million (£237 million).
Stockholm-based Pophouse Entertainment also purchased the band's brand, image and intellectual property. The sale marks the band's withdrawal from concerts on its End of the Road world tour.
Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen also sold their back catalogs for several million dollars.
Both artists sold to major music labels for $500 million (£395 million). and $450 million (£355 million) respectively.
Although details of the Kiss deal have not been revealed, it appears to be similar to that of British group Genesis, but lower than the sale of Michael's catalog. Jackson's work ($600 million/£474 million).
Bruce Springsteen sells his music rights for $500 million. Bob Dylan sells his master recordings to Sony Music.
