Scotland 'will get better and better'

Scotland will 'go from strength to strength' after qualifying for the Cup of the World T20, according to head coach Craig Wallace.

Captain Kathryn Bryce led from the front - taking 4-8 with the ball and making 35 undefeated with the bat - as Scotland beat Ireland by eight wickets in their qualifying semi-final, securing their place in Bangladesh later this year.

It's the first time Scottish women have reached a World Cup and Wallace insists Scotland are going there to compete.

“We are all very happy to be on the main stage, but we are not here just to be extras,” said the “They are so young and gaining more and more experience, every day playing a best level of cricket. They're going to get stronger - I can't wait to see how good they can be [at the World Cup]."

'It would be amazing to play against England'

Skipper Bryce's sister Sarah was playing her fifth T20 World Cup qualifying match, having first represented Scotland at the age of 15, and says finally reaching the milestone finishing line is something she's dreamed of her whole life.

"I'm absolutely excited," said Sarah Bryce, now 24 years "It's been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.

"I've been here for a while now, I've been to these. ...
