Sorry Flat Earthers! Statisticians Say There's No Doubt Our Planet Is ROUND

Sorry Flat Earthers! Scientists use flight times to explain the shape of our planet - and say there's no doubt it's ROUNDScientists have created a model that predicts a flight time from an interurban distanceThe theory of Flat Earth thinks Earth is a disk with the North Pole at the center Time of flight only matches reality with Spherical Earth Theory data

Members of the infamous Flat Earth Society are convinced that our planet is a disk, and that they deny the astronauts were "bribed" or "deceived".

But a team of scientists from the University of Zurich invite them to refute their latest statistical model, which shows (again!) that the Earth is indeed round.

The model predicts the time it takes to fly between two cities after entering the distance between them.

This shows that if you fly north from Perth, Australia for seven hours you will land in Hong Kong, while a westward flight of the same length would see you land in Mauritius.

However, if the Earth were flat, this seven hour westbound flight would only get you halfway to Mauritius.

'It was important for us not to favor a model a priori, but to find a parent...
