The $10 Accessory I Couldn't Stop Buying After Chanel's Epic Show

The Fall 2022 couture shows kicked off this week, with Schiaparelli, Christian Dior and, most recently, Balenciaga all showcasing their most luxurious collections of the year at through Paris. But as often, Chanel stole the show. There were no celebrity catwalk appearances or edgy ensembles - that's not really the Chanel way. On the contrary, artistic director Virginie Viard did what she and Chanel do best: design ridiculously pretty things that no one (including me) can resist.

Among the collection's long tweed skirts, sweatpants and hyper-feminine A-line skirts, there was a plethora of delicate black and ivory bows that rested on the head of most models, including that of Chanel's last wife, Jill Kortleve. Sure, bows have always been part of the French brand's aesthetic, but something about this season's take felt fresh and undeniably worth buying. That is, if you can afford to buy a Chanel accessory, let alone a couture accessory.
