A new travel trend is gaining momentum: so-called bonding vacations designed to bring two together family members.

Just before the pandemic hit, Original Travel co-founder Tom Barber was among the first to spot it. He says: 'After helping clients book their main family holiday, we have increasingly been asked about separate breaks a parent can take with one of their children. They wanted to spend some quality, one-on-one time together to really bond.

"Now we're also seeing breaks between great -parents and grandchildren, adults treating a parent for a break, and all sorts of other combinations.'
