Today, for the first time, this newspaper publishes video from inside a Partygate rally - a Christmas party held at Conservative Party headquarters when indoor gatherings were banned.

We knew the party was on: we posted a photo of the same person kneeling last year, showing dozens of employees huddled together, wearing festive suspenders, party hats and Christmas sweaters .

But we had no idea how brazen they had been. It was not a brief meeting, where colleagues huddled together just long enough for a group photo.
