Nintendo hosted a special livestream this week to reveal the full trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie. In the new trailer, we finally see Princess Peach, Luigi, and Donkey Kong alongside the main man. We even see DK beating Mario's bejeezus, as it should be. So far, Mario's portrayal seems to be everyone who needs to help save the world - fair enough. And the gorgeous Super Mario Bros. theme cover. made me smile sincerely.

But I don't know, I'm still not sold. It's partly because I don't like Peach so far. She doesn't look very peach to me. I wish the trailer showed more of her than just giving Mario a pep talk - and Pratt's Mario is a topic for a different day. I'm afraid the movie is just a collection of scenes referring to Mario Game X. In the trailer we already have the Smash Bros scene and the Mario Kart scene. If it turns out there's a Paper Mario scene, let people know I called it.

We had good news and bad news this week. Bad news, we had the cancellation of the Smash World Tour. But good news, we're getting a new Amnesia game from Frictional – always good to see them. Also, Activision Blizzard employees in Albany managed to form another union, so it wasn't all bad.

In more personal news, I'm preparing for the Game Awards, which will take place next Thursday, December 8th. I'm ready for all the talk about the new game, all the unnecessary cameos from Kojima, the moved movie trailers, the insanely good musical performances, and maybe the awards if we have the time. I'm also going to play Callisto protocol, because the sun sets early these days and I want cold, dark ghosts. I haven't really been scared of a game since Alien: Isolation, and I challenge Glen Schofield to have my streak broken.

[I'll also include last week's matches, since I didn't do Kaser Focus.]
