Office actor Ewen MacIntosh has died at the age of 50.

Actor and comedian Ewen MacIntosh, best known for his role as "Big Keith" in The Office, has died at the age of 50 years old.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10">The character, Keith Bishop, was a Scotch egg-loving accountant who had a monotonous answering machine message and would have preferred a career as a DJ .

MacIntosh has also appeared in other British comedies, including Miranda and Little Britain.

Series creator Ricky Gervais led the tributes on X/Twitter, describing MacIntosh as "an absolute original" as Ali G for Red Nose Day.

Big Keith particularly shone in a memorable scene from the season two episode Appraisals.

In his assessment, the head of office David Brent, played by Ricky Gervais, makes him list his strengths and weaknesses.

Chewing gum and looking bored, Keith answers "don't know" to all the answers and mentions eczema as both his weakness and his strength. MacIntosh appeared in both series of The Office, which first aired in 2001.
