Tragic mother dies on wedding morning as her 10-year-old son is stranded in Trinidad

A 'beautiful and caring' mum from London died unexpectedly on the morning of her wedding in Trinidad.

Nadia Joseph-Gosine, 33, died in her sleep of liver disease on December 7, leaving behind her 10-year-old son, Emari, who is now stranded in the country.

Later that day, the saleswoman was to marry Devon Gosine, her partner of five years who lives in Trinidad.

Speaking in the UK, her devastated sister Isha Daley, 37, said she knew Nadia had liver problems in the past but thought she was fine now. Heartbroken Devon was also unaware that Nadia was sick.

Emari is currently being cared for by Devon, who is not Emari's father, while his family in the UK are trying to raise the funds to bring him back, as well as the money to cremate Nadia .
