Fulham, who completed the signing of Republic of Ireland centre-back Shane Duffy on a season-long loan from Brighton last week, are keen to further strengthen their defensive options.

And they appear to have landed Issa Diop in a £17million deal from West Ham with a medical due shortly.

West Ham manager David Moyes says the Frenchman didn't 'put himself forward to play' in the loss to Manchester City in a tool drop, the full-back Ben Johnson should replace the injured Craig instead. Dawson.

And the injury to Dawson, who joins Angelo Ogbonna and new signing Nayef Aguerd on the sidelines, will force Moyes into the transfer market to replace Diop.

Foot Mercato (via Sport Witness), claims the Londoners have put two PSG defenders 'on their shortlist'.

There were rumors of their interest in Thilo Kehrer for much of the summer and these intensified following Diop's decision.

The 25-year-old defender has made 128 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit since his £33.3million move from Schalke in the summer of 2018.

Moyes is also said to be an admirer of 26-year-old Abdou Diallo, who has made 75 appearances since his £28.8million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

The report claims that West Ham covet the versatility of the pair, who can both play at centre-back, full-back and central midfield.

And it is claimed that PSG would be willing to listen to offers from either player.

Speaking after Sunday's loss to Manchester City, Moyes admitted they still have "a bit of work to do" in the transfer market this summer.

He said, "We need it and we need to freshen up a bit, we're a bit outdated right now.

"Look at our centre-back [£28m signed Nayef Aguerd] gets injured in a pre-season friendly and there's nothing we can do about it. So we tried to do that.

"Our centre-forward is getting back into shape. The goalkeeper we signed [Alphonse Areola] is playing today after Lukasz [Fabianski] got injured. You can see we still have some work to do to do."
