World Cup LIVE: Iran break Welsh hearts with two last-minute goals as fans clash away

The second round of group play begins today at the World Cup in Qatar, with Wales and England in action. Wales started their tournament by snatching a 1-1 draw with the United States thanks to a Gareth Bale penalty on Monday, with England beating Iran 6-2 hours earlier.

The World Cup was overshadowed by FIFA and Qatar U-turns as fans were unable to purchase alcohol in stadiums and teams were unable to wear the OneLove armband. FIFA have now been accused of a "sinister abuse of power" by Kick It Out chief Sanjay Bhandari. But world football's governing body has at least told World Cup venues they must now allow fans to wear rainbow hats and bring rainbow flags into stadiums.

Yesterday was another emphatic day of action on the pitch as Cristiano Ronaldo scored in Portugal's 3-2 win over Ghana. And Richarlison also bagged a brace, including a superb scissor kick, as Brazil kicked off their World Cup campaign by beating Serbia 2-0.

After Wales take on Iran at 10:00, hosts Qatar will face Senegal at 13:00. The Netherlands take on Ecuador at 4pm, before Gareth Southgate's England go in search of victory against the USA in the final clash of the day at 7pm.
