'X-Men' & 'Camp Cretaceous' Scribe Zack Stentz Penning 'The White Tower' Animated Film Inspired by 'The Wheel Of Time'

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous creator and X-Men: First Class and Thor screenwriter Zack Stentz is on board for the animated film The White Tower, based on the hit graphic novel series by Robert Jordan .

iwot productions is developing the animated feature in collaboration with Quebec studios Squeeze (The Incredible Maurice), we can reveal it to you.

The feature will be set in a time before the events chronicled in The Wheel of TimeTV series from Amazon and Sony. This is portrayed as an action-adventure about a young girl with a special gift whose life is changed forever when evil visits her remote mountain village. Finding herself alone in a dangerous world, she must go to The White Tower to learn how to use her magical powers to save her family and friends.

The film will be based on an original story set in the Jordan universe by screenwriter Stentz who said today: "I have always been a fan of the world created by Robert Jordan, especially the White Tower, which serves as the capital, residence, school and stronghold of the mysterious Aes Sedai brotherhood. It was a dream come true to be offered the opportunity to write a new story set in an iconic setting that will be instantly familiar to Jordan fans everywhere."

Stentz and iwot worked on a Wheel Of Time project for a while and their new incarnation is animation with partners from Canada.

The new film will be produced by Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon of iwot productions, and Zack Stentz of Electric brain entertainment. Separately, Selvage and Mondragon are executive producers of Sony and Amazon's TV adaptation of The Wheel of Time.

Wheel of Time graphic novel series consists of 14 novels, 2 750 named characters and a story spanning 3,000 years of myth.
