We recently heard that the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 will come with an in-house developed display, apparently it will be a microLED display.

The news comes from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in his weekly newsletter, he revealed that Apple also plans to use these screens on the iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Get ready for the first Apple microLED displays next year. After about six years of development, Apple is nearing the launch of one of its most impressive innovations: its own displays.

This marks a turning point in its efforts to design more supplies in-house. For the better part of a decade, that effort has been on the internals. Soon it will be about what you will be able to see.

The displays will appear first in an update to the Apple Watch Ultra currently slated for late 2024. I expect them to then make their way to the iPhone a few years later , and maybe, one day, iPads and Macs.

The new Apple Watch Ultra 2 will apparently launch in 2024, we believe it will launch alongside Apple's new iPhone 16 lineup which is expected to go official in September 2024.

Apple has gradually moved from third-party components to its own in-house designed components in its devices. This gives him better control over his devices and their manufacture and also helps them increase their profits.
