Denise Gough doesn't want redemption for Andor's Dedra Meero

At the Imperial Security Bureau, Dedra faces resistance (not to be confused with the future Resistance) from fellow member Blevin (Ben Bailey Smith). He is territorial in his jurisdiction and does not want to let her investigate what she believes to be an organized rebel conspiracy spread across multiple sectors. However, the initiative shown by Dedra eventually attracts the attention of their superior, Major Partagaz, played by Anton Lesser (known for his role as Qyburn in "Game of Thrones")

Dedra prevails in her endeavors, and she even seems to be driven to do good, in a sense, and to preserve order in the galaxy, instead of just being driven by a desire for career advancement. However, this soon leads her to the torture chamber with Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona). It's here that Dedra shows her sadistic side and reminds us that she's still one of the bad guys - or girls. As Gough said:

"For people watching, at first you really want [Dedra] to be successful, because you're just seeing a woman who is really striving to be successful. But then what you have to sit with, once that you got on with her in the beginning, just because she's a woman in a man's world... [she's] just as capable of doing the most heinous things for power. said the other day, 'Please don't buy it back.' And I thought, 'Oh, this is so good.' Don't apologize. Let her be as ambitious as the baddest of men and color in all the shades so everyone will be in conflict when they watch."

Dedra certainly makes viewer loyalty come and go, but that's part of what makes her character and "Andor" as a whole so compelling. The penultimate episode of the series' first season will air next Wednesday on Disney+.
