Will the White Lotus have a season 3?

Per HBO, "The White Lotus" season 3 will introduce new characters and a new location, but further details are being kept under wraps.

The first season was set in Hawaii, while the second traveled overseas to Sicily. So what scenic destination awaits us in the third? Perhaps the series will take a page from the "Triangle of Sadness" playbook and board a White Lotus-branded cruise. Think of all the things that could go horribly wrong on a very confined, submersible ship! Alternatively, Mike White could just choose his ideal vacation spot and drive there instead.

The Mystery Destination is only one piece of the puzzle though - launching a third season is where things get really exciting. Jennifer Coolidge's return for season 2 also presents many possibilities: if she manages to survive the second season and doesn't somehow see another death as a reason to not< /em> frequent this resort chain, maybe some messy socialite Tanya McQuoid will just book another stay. Tanya could become the Benoit Blanc of this anthology! Or maybe the White Lotus superiors will realize that this woman is a walking omen of death and refuse her at the door. (Note: Will the third season also feature a series of murder mystery? It's hard to imagine dropping the murder mystery angle after two seasons, but how many deaths can a channel conceal?!) /p>

Whether Tanya returns or not, the door is always open for other familiar faces. According to the survival rate of this second season, "The White Lotus" now has many options. I'm rooting for a taping on Shane (Jake Lacy) and Rachel (Alexandria Daddario's) wedding, but the possibilities are endless.
