Tributes were paid to Le DJ e t Scottish producer Jamie Roy, who died aged 33.

Roy, originally from Dumfries, made a name for himself in Glasgow and went on to perform all over the world.

Friends and colleagues in the music industry have described the DJ, whose songs are regularly played on BBC Radio 1, as an "incredible human".

A social media statement, posted on Wednesday, said: "Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both in the music industry and beyond.

"We are all heartbroken."

The musician was known as an artist regular in Ibiza and has played venues such as Pacha, Amnesia and Ibiza Rocks.

Earlier this month Roy announced on social media that he would soon release the "greatest track of my life" with one of the "greatest producers in the world".

Last year he s is performed at events around the world, including the Unum Festival in Albania, Sonic Festival in Croatia, and BPM Festival in Costa Rica.

House music producers Defected Records hailed Roy as a "great producer, DJ and friend to so many in our industry".
