Jane Fonda says her cancer is in remission, 'feels so blessed'

Jane Fonda got a great early birthday present as she reveals her cancer is in remission just before her 85th birthday.

The actress and activist shared the fantastic news online on Thursday... calling the discovery "BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!!!" She says her oncologist told her last week that her cancer was in remission and she could stop having chemotherapy.

She goes on to say how blessed and lucky she feels, thanking everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers...adding, "I'm sure that played a part in the good news."

Jane admits that her last chemo session was "difficult" and that the effects lasted 2 weeks, "which makes it difficult to accomplish anything".

She says it cleared up in time for her to attend the "first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays rally," a rally that urges firefighters to fight for a healthier, greener world .

As we reported, Jane shockingly announced that she had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in September, saying she had to undergo chemotherapy for 6 months.
