Lululemon appoints Elizabeth Binder director of merchandising

Lululemon has named Elizabeth Binder Chief Merchandising Officer, a new position.

Binder, which started on Monday, will be based in Vancouver and report to Sun Choe, chief product officer.

Most recently, Boden was a Product Manager at Boden, a global clothing company based in the UK , which she joined Burberry in October 2020. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at Burberry and led her team through the brand's greatest years of growth, driven by digital and international expansion, particularly in Asia. She has also held merchandising positions at J. Crew, Club Monaco and Ann Taylor.

"Throughout her career, Liz has proven her ability to bring teams together through time periods acceleration and business expansion and lead with clarity and vision," Choe said. "Liz's proven leadership, coupled with an astute understanding of consumer needs, will help accelerate and scale everything possible from product, design and distribution point of view."

Lululemon, the Canadian clothing, accessories and footwear manufacturer, last month unveiled third quarter results which showed improvement in the upper and lower lines with strength in all channels. However, last week the brand rattled investors with a Q4 outlook that showed a decline in gross margin even as earnings appeared to hit target.
