Newcastle United interested in Chelsea's Christian Pulisic

Newcastle United are interested in signing Christian Pulisic from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report claims the United States international is not part of new Chelsea manager Graham Potter's plan and Newcastle are keen to bring the 24-year-old to St James' Park.

Pulisic can play as an attacking midfielder or a winger and has been on Chelsea's books since 2019. The American star left German club Borussia Dortmund for the Blues. Pulisic won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2020-21. The striker has scored 19 goals and created 12 big chances in 80 Premier League appearances so far in his career.

Newcastle is a big, well-established club in the Premier League and has very wealthy PIF owners. However, Eddie Howe's side are unlikely to compete for the Premier League title or play in the UEFA Champions League anytime soon, and Pulisic might not find it very tempting to move to St. James' Park.
