APC leader raps Wike about his recent political activities

The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Eze C. Eze, has called on Nigerians to stop dating Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State because he was just traveling the world in search of relevance.

Eze, in a statement yesterday, accused the governor of not only wasting Rivers' resources, but also of increasing his nuisance value by causing riots. Eze, who is also a former spokesperson for the now defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), which helped birth the APC, said: “It is regrettable and deeply disturbing to hear that funds intended for the welfare and development of Rivers and her people are misappropriated and blatantly misappropriated with impunity and without remorse.”

He revealed that ever since Wike lost the presidential ticket and the PDP running mate spot, he had engaged in an endless shopping spree for suitability and accommodation to avoid the collapse of his political empire.

Describing Wike's claim that the national interest is misleading, the APC stalwart noted that although Governor de Rivers has met with nearly every key political leader in the country, including presidential candidates presidency of the main political parties, most people keep it at arm's length.

His words: "Wike met with Peter Obi of the Labor Party (LP), Tinubu of the APC, Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and of course his own political party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

"He also met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, among others, without finding it wise to visit his immediate boss and benefactor, Chibuike Amaechi, for advice. Too bad he forgot that his reckless attack on Amaechi, who nurtured him, is the cause of the rejection he is currently experiencing at the hands of those he approaches."

Eze therefore said that until Wike apologizes to Amaechi for all he has done to undermine him, the Governor will continue to wander around like the Biblical Cain without any direction or positive outcome.

“Reports indicate that his meeting and introduction to some of these leaders is treated like a drowning man who grabs every available straw. , Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, resigns to allow him to appoint another president.

"As someone who prides himself on being a key member of the party, one might have expected Wike to know that his request is self-centered with the tendency to cause havoc for the party and, therefore , grossly thoughtless and flamboyant in placing such a request,” he added.
