Governor Adeleke will be sworn in to commissioners on Wednesday

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke will be sworn in to his newly appointed Commissioners on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

The PUNCH reported that the State House of Assembly unveiled as appointed commissioners Olagunsoye's chief of staff Oyinlola, former Osun state governor Festus Adeyemo, and two commissioners who served in the state cabinet during the former governor's tenure. Rauf Aregbesola.

Adewale Egbedun, the Speaker, read out the names from Adeleke's letter to MPs during the July 7 plenary.

Adeyemo, from Irewole Local Government Area, served as Oyinlola's chief of staff in the final days of his administration when former occupier Dr Peter Babalola left the cabinet to pursue his ambitions governor.

Ms. Folashade Adeleke, the elder brother of the incumbent governor, and the widow of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke are also on the list.

Other nominees include Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, former Chairman of Atakumosa West Local Government, Oladosu Babatunde; Bayo Ogungbangbe, Sesan Oyedele, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olagunju, George Alabi, Sunday Oroniyi, Abiodun Ojo, Dr Basiru Salami, Morufu Ayofe and Sola Ogungbile.

However, according to Olawale Rasheed, the governor's spokesperson, the swearing-in ceremony will take place on Tuesday.

The statement read: "Governor Ademola Adeleke has set tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19, for the inauguration and swearing-in of the newly appointed commissioners.

"The event is supposed to be held at the Local Government Services Commission Building, Government Secretariat, Osogbo before 10am.

"All commissioners-designate must be seated by 10 a.m.."
