Imo: PDP's Anyanwu sends departure notice to alleged 'inhumane' APC government

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo gubernatorial candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has advised the All Progressives Congress, APC to pack their bags.

Anyanwu, the national secretary of the PDP, said the people are ready to reject the "inhumane" APC administration headed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

A statement Thursday from party spokesman Ikenna Onuoha accused rivals of claiming he was "sponsored" for the November 11, 2023 election.

The aide said the news was baseless, misleading and “a brazen concoction garnished by individuals already spooked by the PDP and its candidate.”

Recalling that Anyanwu ran for governor in 2019, Onuoha insisted that "non-entity and push-over can be sponsored" to destabilize Ndi-Imo's position.

He said that to show preparedness, Anyanwu released a shortened version of his manifesto after winning the PDP ticket, while others are trying to steal the "strategic initiatives".

The statement accuses the APC government of "profiting from wanton killings, relentless kidnappings and the total closure of all businesses in the country".

He added that the plot against Anyanwu was in retaliation for his resistance to the entrenchment of stooges as gubernatorial aspirants ahead of the primary elections.

Onuoha said opponents were circulating "uncharitable and divisive venom" because they were nervous about the PDP's unity, which led to the adoption of a consensus option.< /p>

"Senator Anyanwu will sack the regressive and inhuman APC administration so that he can protect our society from senseless killings and economic shortages," the aide asserted.
