Lagos residents pick up petrol as tanker crashes into Costain Bridge
Some Lagos residents gathered to collect petrol after a tanker loaded with PMS fell while climbing the Costain Bridge inland.
Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Director Mrs. Margaret Adeseye confirmed the incident earlier today.
She assured that the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services were on the ground to mitigate the situation while ensuring public safety and counting on the support of the public to clear nearby combustible materials in order to avoid a secondary incident.
Tribune Online found that local residents were seen collecting fuel from the tanker. Lagos is currently experiencing a fuel shortage, as are several other states in the country.
