LF: President angrily expels members of chamber

Two MPs were dramatically expelled from the House of Commons in PMQs.

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle took the rare step of appointing and shaming Alba MPs Neale Hanvey and Kenny MacAskill, who appeared to suffocate Boris Johnson by crying out for Scottish independence.

His voice shaking with fury, Mr. Hoyle shouted, "Out now" before ordering the Sergeant-at-Arms to escort them.

It was a lackluster start to the Prime Minister's penultimate LF, and his first since announcing his resignation.

MPs subsequently backed a move to have the couple suspended ‘from the services of this House’.

The Alba party then posted a provocative message on Twitter, stating: "We have no intention of sitting down in Westminster and playing their game.

"We will use all the time and resources at our disposal to help Scotland regain its independence as an immediate priority."

Mr. MacAskill could be heard trying to raise a point of order and appeared to say 'we need a Prime Minister's referendum' - before being drowned out by other MPs.

Mr. MacAskill refused to sit down and continued to speak, prompting Sir Lindsay to act.

The leader of the party, Mr Hanvey, then stood up and could not be heard despite the heckling of Tory MPs, before he was subsequently told to leave the chamber.

As the fury unfolded, Mr. Hoyle shouted, "I will not tolerate this behavior."

The sensible speaker then warned both men that they could be suspended from the Commons if they persisted.
