The 10 most hilarious moments from the violent night

The Lightstone family is the classic definition of dysfunctional. There's alcoholic aunt Alva (Edi Patterson), her obnoxious influencer son, Bert (Alexander Elliot), budding action star and Alva's second husband, Morgan Steele (Cam Gigandet), and son Jason. who seeks to break with the family. Then there's Gertrude Lightstone, the relentless matriarch who rules them all. At first glance, this is your typical dirty rich family. Luckily for the viewer, when they come together, their dynamic is perfect.

The first scene in which we meet the band is hilarious. If Alva isn't whipping up another cocktail yet, Bert is streaming live for his fans. Morgan quickly shows he has a way of making every conversation about him, and Gertrude is shown to be spectacularly vulgar. Among them, Jason, Trudy and Linda are outliers, no longer wanting to kiss the ground on which Gertrude walks. Without his millions, they wouldn't even be here.

Throughout the film, the group scenes continually end up delivering the most memorable moments, aside from whenever David Harbor is on screen. Even after being taken hostage by a group of mercenaries, the family puts the humor down. Their gift exchange is ridiculous, as is a nutcracker joke (you can probably guess where this one goes). All in all, this is the kind of family that needs eggnog to survive - and lots of it.
