Netflix's 'Enola Holmes', which officially released in September 2020, delivered a fun, family-friendly adventure centered around young and passionate detective Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown), and now the movie has a sequel! On September 24, Netflix released the first official trailer for the sequel, and it looks like Enola is finally becoming a full-fledged private eye outside of the shadow of her big brother Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill). /p>

In the trailer, Enola is tasked with finding the missing sister of a young woman. But it doesn't take long for Sherlock to realize that his little sister's case is linked to his own, leading to the siblings reluctantly teaming up. "It seems our affairs are connected," Sherlock mused.

The first film in the series was based on author Nancy Springer's book collection, The Enola Holmes Mysteries, specifically the 2006 first tome, "The Case of the Missing Marquess." The film and novel follow the exploits of Enola as she investigates the disappearance of her mother, Eudoria, while helping a runaway nobleman named Viscount Tewkesbury escape impending peril. There are five more works in Springer's Enola-centric repertoire, so there's plenty of material to extract for the next installment. It looks like "Enola Holmes 2" will be based on the second book in the series, "The Case of the Left-Handed Woman." The novel details Enola's quest to find a missing young woman named Lady Cecily while avoiding Sherlock. Based on the trailer, the upcoming film is expected to delve deeper into this mystery, with Holmes simultaneously struggling to be taken seriously as a full-fledged detective, independent of her brother.

Brown produced the first film and its sequel and told Entertainment Weekly on August 18 that working on the films has been "the most important moment of my career so far because it's something I 've developed".

"It's gratifying," the actor told the outlet. "Obviously, it can be tiring, and...
