Ti West and A24 have launched a new online casting call for fans to be extras (or, as in West's "X" trilogy, XXXtras) for the franchise's next installment, "MaXXXine."

According to the rules, fans must between Pearl and Maxine, both played by Mia Goth, in "X". Entrants can submit their audition videos to TikTok, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #XCastingCall. The deadline for all submissions is September 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Filmmaker West previously told IndieWire's Eric Kohn that the third film will be about "home video's impact on people" in the 1980s.

"I'm very proud of it," West said. "They're super different and come out of nowhere. You won't need to see one to see the other, but they complement each other."

Meanwhile, writer-director West's prequel "Pearl" hits theaters on September 16, telling Technicolor's tinted backstory of why Pearl (Goth) has always dreamed of becoming a movie star in Hollywood. adolescence.

"Pearl" had its world premiere at the 2022 Venice Film Festival and made its North American debut at TIFF. The film takes place half a century before the horrific events of "X".
