Rishi Sunak's allies have been accused of 'practicing a chumocracy' by 'parachuting in' special advisers and people close to the prime minister's inner circle to win victories. seats in the general elections.

David Goss, the Prime Minister's deputy political secretary, has become the latest high-profile Downing Street figure to be selected for a winnable seat in Wellingborough and Rushden, recently lost to Labor in an election exhausting partial.
