Valérie Bertinelli is officially single, as her divorce from Tom Vitale has just been finalized...with money changing hands and a release order issued.

According to new legal documents, obtained by TMZ, a judge approved their disbandment effective Tuesday...so they are both unattached in the eyes of the law. While there was a prenuptial agreement, Valérie still has to pay a little to her ex-husband of 11 years.

Under the terms of the settlement, Valerie was ordered to pay Tom $2.2 million in a lump sum. In return, Tom must move out of their Malibu home by the end of the year (to the day) or else start paying fair market rent there for the duration of his stay, starting January 1.

The parties have agreed that the rent for such a property should be $50,000/month and/or $1,666/day. Likewise, for every day that Valerie is late paying Tom his dough, he gets an additional free day at daycare. As for spousal support...they each waived it.

When it comes to sharing their other assets, their prenup has already taken care of that. Val and Tom will also take care of their attorney fees. The couple never had children.

Still no word on where exactly things went wrong, but it's all over now... they're both out.
