Vladimir Putin is set to starve millions in a diabolical plan to cut off the last avenue of help

Vladimir Putin and Russia are set to leave millions starving if he goes through with his diabolical plan to cut off the last remaining aid route to Syria, we have learned.< /p>

People living in northwest Syria could die of malnutrition if Russia closes the last route for United Nations (UN) aid to the country during a vote in the Security Council of the organism.

Aid convoys full of basic but life-saving food and medical supplies are trucked daily from Turkey to rebel-held northwest Syria via the Bab al-Hawa crossing , up to 4.5 million civilians.

All without the permission of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad due to a United Nations Security Council resolution mandate.

The mandate is due to expire on July 10 and all members of the Security Council must agree to an extension, but Syrian ally Russia has already hinted that it may veto and that if it did, millions of people would die.

"The situation is already weak, but the shutdown might just break the current already weak situation. It's exhausting to think about," camp medical center director Abdullah, who cannot reveal his last name.

Years of fighting and bloodshed have forced tens of thousands of exhausted and terrified civilians to leave their homes and flock to camps in the northwest of the country.

Idlib, the largest city in the region, has been controlled since 2015 by extremist Islamist rebels linked to al-Qaeda and the region is unstable.

The displaced population lives in tents, facing scorching summers and freezing winters with tents leaking due to rain.
