SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers up to episode 6 of "< /em>The White Lotus", airing Sundays on HBO and streaming on HBO Max.

"The White Lotus" is set for an explosive Season 2 finale on Sunday, but before Until fans wave Sicily goodbye, there are plenty of loose ends to iron out in Mike White's hit HBO series.

What will happen to Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge)? Did Cameron (Theo James) sleep with Harper (Aubrey Plaza)? Who is the father of Daphne's (Meghann Fahy) children? Is Lucia really in danger? What happened to the pianist? Who dies?!?

From viral cowboy conspiracy to sex work scheme, Variety has investigated some of the most popular and outlandish "White Lotus" endgame theories.

HBO

Greg is in cahoots with Quentin to kill Tanya for her money.

Given the events of Episode 6, this might be obvious, but we're wary of La Quentin's (Tom Hollander) relationship with Tanya since he first invited her and Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) to the beach club. The "upscale gays", as Tanya calls them, have since drank and dined her, taken her to the opera and cheered her up. But it is "The White Lotus", after all. Of course, there will be no happy ending. Any sliver of normality in this quick friendship was thrown out the window when Tanya sees Quentin having sex with his nephew, Jack (Leo Woodall), at the end of episode 5. Now it's all but confirmed that Quentin doesn't. It's not really Jack's. uncle, and a drunk Jack tells Portia he's not really rich either. “These posh motherfuckers…they have their palaces. They don't have the money,” Jack says, echoing an earlier line from Cameron. Jack says Quentin nearly sold the family home, but now he's "making money" and "he's going to help his friends." "I'm just glad I can help him now. Because he helped me," Jack says. "I was in a fucking hole."

The money he will earn belongs to Tanya. Maybe to get out of this hole, Jack agreed to play along with Quentin's plan for a cut of the money. Earlier in the series, Quentin tells Tanya that he first fell in love while traveling in America, where he fell in love with a heterosexual "cowboy" in Wyoming. "I would have done anything for him," Quentin said. "And what's amazing is that after about 30 years, I still would." A theory that the cowboy is actually Tanya's husband, Greg (Jon Gries), who, as you may recall, works in land management in the American West, is confirmed when Tanya discovers an old photo of Quentin and Jack wearing cowboy hats. Yes, Greg, who complained about his prenup, is probably in cahoots with Quentin and Co. to steal Tanya's money. Remember how Greg was in Sicily before Tanya arrived? And how mad was he that she brought Portia? That's because he was putting the plan in place, and because Portia threw a wrench in it. Enter: Jack, who was probably brought in at the last minute to distract Port...
