Gosiame Sithole claimed to have carried the tenfold on June 7, 2021 at Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa.

She also alleged that she was banned from seeing her new children, held against her will for psychiatric evaluation, and that her privacy was violated by hospital officials, social workers and police .

In response to a complaint filed by alleged father Tebogo Tsotetsi, a prosecutor found the allegations to be completely absurd and fabricated.

After the news broke, the children became known in South Africa as "Thembisa 10".

Tsotetsi claimed that his partner's medical documents were shared without his knowledge or approval by the media.

He also claimed that cops unlawfully detained her, took her in for an involuntary mental health check, and that her two eldest twin children were taken from custody against her will, reports.
