Beer-drinking daredevils have joined the search for a lioness who has been on the run in Berlin for more than 24 hours as the city's mayor has urged people to stay indoors.
Photos today show huge armored cars and gunmen with powerful guns loaded with tranquilizers in the German city. Police have reportedly checked zoos, animal parks, circuses and animal sanctuaries - but none are missing a big cat.

Residents of Kleinmachnow, Teltow and Stahnsdorf have been ordered to stay at home and keep their windows closed.
