Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam Shares Something In Common With Vin Diesel's Fast & Furious Character [Exclusive]

In an interview with /Film, producer Hiram Garcia spoke about the inherent dedication and love for family that drives Black Adam throughout the film:

"We wanted to root Black Adam in something solid and heavy that audiences could start to connect with him. And one of the common threads he found in Black Adam in later versions of the comics was the ties with his family."

Garcia went into detail about Black Adam's driving force, which only confirms our suspicions that the anti-hero shares a key character trait with Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto of the "Fast" franchise. . Both characters use their family as a motivator for their otherworldly physical feats in their respective films:

"A lot of the things he does, a lot of the rage he shows, is always related to things that happen to his family or his people. So we knew that was essential for us, and we felt that anchoring a character like Black Adam in that space then gave us license, and I think it would allow the audience to really understand how he behaves in terms of aggression... even though he's extremely vicious and quick to action, it's always rooted in something that's attached to his emotion and his heart and how much he cares about him. And it's always attached to his family."

Try as Dwayne Johnson might part ways with his "Fast" family, "Black Adam" seems to be continuing a trend started by Vin Diesel's character. While he may no longer appear as Hobbs in the upcoming "Fast X," fans can rest assured that no matter what franchise Johnson finds himself in, he's still fighting for his family. Now all we need is for Black Adam to show up with a six-pack of crowns at the upcoming "Fast & Furious" BBQ.
