Liz Truss government 'could fall at any moment', Keir Starmer tells senior Labor executives
Sir Keir Starmer has warned Labor staff to be ready for the collapse of Liz Truss' government and a general election 'at any time'.
Announcing a reshuffle of his front-line squad , Sir Keir said the slump in Tory polls following the disastrous Mini Budget and market turmoil gave Labor "a huge chance".
He told Labor staff on Tuesday "The collapse of the government has given us a huge chance. Instability means they could fall at any time. For this reason, we must immediately put ourselves on an election footing."
