Ekiti: Oyebanji calls for greater union between monarchs, development actors

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, called on traditional leaders and other stakeholders of the Ekiti project to find ways to ensure greater unity among themselves in the desire to bring the desired development to the state.

Governor Oyebanji, who made the call to Ijero Ekiti on Tuesday during the 70th birthday service of thanksgiving for the Supreme Ruler of Ijero Kingdom, HRM Oba Adebayo Adewole, said great things cannot only be carried out in an atmosphere where unity and decorum persist.

He said, "I have absolute respect for our royal fathers and I pray that this unity you brought to the establishment of Ekiti State, on your birthday today , we need a greater dimension of this unity to develop our state.”

In his sermon, the Bishop of Ekiti West, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Cornelius Adagbada commended Governor Oyebanji for the way he runs the administration of the state with fear of God and the most great love for the people. He called on the people to continue to cooperate and support the government to do more.

Also present at the event, former Governor of Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni, Ekiti National Assembly Members, Local Government Chairpersons, Catholic Bishop of Ekiti, Bishop Felix Ajakaiye, Retired Bishop Ipinmoye, Bishop Nathaniel Olorunisola and other traditional leaders who came in droves.< /p>
