Newcastle draw up list of sponsors with Saudia and Monster Energy

November 18 - Premier League Newcastle United have added two new sponsor partners.

Saudi Arabian national airline Saudia has become the club's official air tour partner, while California-based brand Monster Energy will become the club's official energy drink partner.

Both agreements are described as multi-year, but no value was given for either.

As part of the partnership, Saudia has launched an official digital hub that allows fans to win tickets to watch Newcastle take on Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal on December 8 in Riyadh.

The deal with Saudia further underscores Newcastle's push deeper into the club's home ownership market.

Peter Silverstone, Commercial Director of Newcastle, said: "While Newcastle United are on an exciting and ambitious journey to grow their global reach and fan base, we are also very focused on growing our fan base. and on follow-up in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Middle East.

“Our ambition is to become the most supported English Premier League football team in Saudi Arabia; a country whose population includes a large, young, passionate and highly committed football community.”

Saudi Arabia has worked hard to build its image and the country's opportunities through its sports partnerships.

Khaled Tash, Marketing Director of Saudia Group, added: "We hope to form a cultural bridge between Saudi Arabia and the world, as we believe that our culture has the potential to transcend borders, through which we inspire and we're connecting with guests from all over the world in new and meaningful ways.”
